Buying A Notebook

should i buy? what to buy? when to buy? dilemma's are terrible at this point of time. i shouldnt be buying becuase i need to start saving up for my college fun. yes i wanna go back studying again. what do i want to study? well i wanna have a go at the microsoft certificate. what does it do? it basically teaches you do's and don'ts and how's and when's for microsoft products. basically by the end of the course you would be able to develop your own systems and if u venture far enough u might just edit and create your own type of business.

Quote from Microsoft Malaysia Website : "Microsoft certification enables businesses to identify those who have the technical abilities to help them get ahead in their industry by leveraging on the most advanced Microsoft technology." Read More Here...

how much will this course cost? a whopping RM11,000. 3 mths completion includes a RM6000 rebate and 12 mths completion provides a RM3000 rebate. which i find intresting coz u gotta be a genius or someone who loves microsoft to the bone. well its a good incentive don't you think so. well its a long way to go and i don't know if its something i would wanna venture in anytime soon.

okies back to notebooks. i was looking at a compaq B series notebook which would cost me a terrifying RM5000 for it. its almost twice the price of the first notebook i bought. (yes the one which got stolen when its only 4 mths old) . where was it stolen? hartamas how? the prise open my ex-gf's car boot and got away without even ringing the alarm and nobody saw it or did anything. well that is hartamas for you. other then the compaq i was probably looking at the ftec (due to advertisement) but then i don't trust local brands. no offence but its just not my type, make it simpler lets just list out the available notebook brands...arrangement based on the percentage of me getting it from highest to lowest.

1. compaq
2. hp
3. fujitsu
4. toshiba
5. samsung
6. sony
7. acer
8. twinhead
9. benq
10. dell ( my total last resort )

sighs.. budget around RM4k there is alot of choices but then notebooks nowadays aren't as easy as they used to be, lol reason the choices are huge! and the specifications are massive and some of them are really ridiculous coz most of the available slots aren't those you will ever need. example infra red , i had one on my previous notebook and i only used it for like 10 times in the 2 years that i used the notebook, gawd!. usb ports is a must for me, and i need a minimum of 3 and i need it to be vertical and not horizontal. soundcard could be just a normal one because i already have a sound system fitted at home in which it can be detachable anytime. screen has be at least 15 inch give and take unless am getting a tiny notebooks from fujitsu. graphics card must be at least a ati radeon 128mb well enough for me to at least run counter strike. keyboard not of concern coz i all notebooks only have so many types of key placings, as long as your home, delete and end and pg up and down aren't those tiny ones. gosh. acer makes them so small when they have such a big space to fill. wifi and LAN enabled would be good. a pc slot card would be nice too including a memory card slot is perfect. s video and printer ports are just nice but then who need's those nowadays, everyone is logging on the usb ports and firewire! and yes firewire and bluetooth is an option. prefer if i could get a notebook which doesn't require me to fire up the notebook to play my cd. hahah fat chance!
