Lousy Dinner
went for dinner with my parents yesterday at some austrian restaurant in a bangsar condominium called bangsar puteri. the service at the beginning was good. everything was perfect. had 5 bottles of carlsberg for RM33.00. food was quite alrights not very extensive but it covers most of the required diets as a normal continental cuisine would have. dessert, mains, entree and salads and soups and the likings of beef, lamb, steak, port and etc.
the food took forever to come for 1, dad asked for tabasco sauce and it came. the waitress doesn't seem to know that when ur bottle of tabasco sauce has only probably around 10 drops left u should change it. the roast pork that was ordered the food portion was so small even a small eater (my father) didn't have enough to work on. i had a bratwurst sausage and it was as small as our normal frankfurters size but fatter and u expect that to fill "my" tummy? omg think again. my brother was the most upsetting one i guess. he ordered a lamb shank, the bone was big the amount of meat is probably as much as a thigh and a drumstick piece of KFC chicken, compared it to the ones i have seen in baywatch this was baby lamb shank. dad had used up all the 10 drops of tabassco sauce by now but nobody took notice to change it. we proceeded to order a plate of pork knuckles, it took 1/2 and hour to come and when it did we were upset coz the smelll of pork was so strong that we didnt bother with it. the portion was the right portion for a meal for 3. how can the cook be so unfair? certain portions were big some were small, and even tiny. never going back there again. we didn't finish the pork knuckles becuase the few pieces the smell was unbearable so we left it on the plate. as soon as everyone was gazing at the leftover the manager took notice of the empty tabassco bottle only and exchange it for a botttle 10 times the size of the bottle we had in the very beginning. how rude. she didnt just place it on the table, it took a large "thump" on the table due to its size. but don't u think its a little late? we already had our meals and we are about to pay up. the other 2 waitresses are just to dumb to notice such small matters becuase they weren't briefed or told about waitressing ethics or even common sense. took the waiter 10 seconds to realise that i wanted a glass of coke and warm water. overall very very very upset with service.
will post the picture up laters. anyways the damage was 200+ and it was a lousy damage. never will go there again. spent a lousy 2 hour for just a plate of salad, soup, roast pork,lamb shank and pork knuckles when euro deli could have halved the time. sighs. lousy place.
