Xmas Party

We had our xmas party yesterday at a Kingpin bowling and skirmish area in Darling Harbour. It was wild and tiring! After about 6 vodka lemon lime and oily food, i was really feeling wobbly legs. Its been a while since I last played skirmish and boy it was fun even with just 6 person. hehe At least this time I could see the laser going "tiu tiu tiu" lol. That came out wrong or sounded wrong but what the heck it was fun!! A definately must go in a bigger group. Bowling was fun but after many many months of no training I suck! lol i can only manage a 50 which is terrible. my average used to be 140 plus ^_^ but i guess thats the good old days. haha.

Toilets

Its sad to read notices or comments in the female toilets that request the patrons keep the toilets clean. Aren't females born with the need to keep things neat and tidy? Why waste tissue paper? Why not make sure that the toilets are properly flushed? Is it that difficult? What could possible overcome a womans instinct to "squat" on a seated toilet bowl and leave foot print marks on the toilet seats? Kenny posted one on his own blog too but naturally for the male toilets. Here

Sniffing

I still have the cold and its terrible! Been feeling so dodgy every morning since I returned. Perhaps my body are susceptible to such terrible flu bugs. Hhmmmm oh no am getting weak!!!!

Carl Orff: Carmina Burana

YEAHS!!!!! After years of searching on an off I finally found my favourite piece when I first heard it back in 90's when one of the Michael Jackson's tribute movies. A better quality piece:- How did I find it? Downloaded a whole heaps of Great music from soundtracks and this was one of them from Troy - Nightwish Tristania. One of the pieces during their fights. It brings tears to my eyes. Another clip:- Apprently this song was written by a German Composer Carl Orff in the months between 1935 and 1936 based on medievel poems. All those poems they form only a small part of the whole Carmina Burana, the name applied to a large collection of medieval poems which survive in a late medieval manuscript found in the early nineteenth century in southern Germany. ( Refered from Tylatin.org ) More Here The lyrics translation O Fortuna O Fortune, velut luna like the moon statu variabilis, you are changeable, semper cresci

Whirlwind Weekend

Chiropractor visit in the morning before adjourning to the city for Yam Char with Joey's folks on Saturday morning before parting off at World Square to meet up with Ryka and Toni to pass them their photos of what we took at their wedding about a month ago. We decided to head home coz it was "hot" and we were tired. We hoped to have got out to get dinner but ended me cooking "baked chicken" coz I wanted to watch Santa Claus on Tv. Movies followed by Water Boy that ended our Saturday night. It was pretty eventful sorta since the day started at 9am. hehe. After our long discussions my sweetie decided to pack up her bags from our 10 day trip back home. Mostly clothes and some new shirts she bought back home. We bought a clothes stacker from Ikea and we're using it now for our lingerie and socks so that it looks neat and nice. Bought myself a fly swatter but haven't had the chance to use it yet. The time will come eventually. hehe. Its gonna be christmas soo

Is My Blog A Fake Blog?

Image
Apprently blogger seems to think so. Don't believe me, here is the prove. This is the email which I received this morning from Blogger. I have only 20 days to respond before they actually remove my blog. Upon clicking the given link this is what I see. I had a form to fill in to notify blogger that my blog is real. How funky is that? I must admit that previously this blog address "jodytan.blogspot.com" was over taken by some spammer which was advertising for Australian accounting websites in which of course was legitimate. As far I know I wasn't generating much hits on my analytics who I am curious to know what possess them to take over my itsy bitsy teeny weenie blog? On with the show... Finally and lastly this was the form submission success in which I received after successfully telling them that I am a real person. Ohs wells. Perhaps their actions were delayed for about 3 mths or so now coz I finally got my blog address back. :) Yaya!

Our Dinner Time

Image
I had dinner with my sweetie last night and we ordered our very first bottle of white from a restaurant ever. It was called "The Bandit" by Houghton. It tasted pretty good with the Barramundi stuffed with Prawns (Don't ask me, I've never heard of it either) and my sweetie had her vongole linguinie (her favourite) and I guess she was pretty hungry cause it was obviously tasteless as she didn't waste time shaking the salt every 2 - 3 spoonful of food. Hehe. Our dinner ended with 3 pieces of garlic bread which cost AUD$4.00 which to me is a rip off. Oh wells, the whole meal cost us AUD$87.00 which I think is again a total rip off. Perhaps we should really really re-think if we were to ever return there again. :P

Neat round edges for your website? Don't have to hassle going through using Photoshop. hehe.

Water Intake

A sufficient water intake is needed to combat dehydration, which saps energy, causes fatigue and reduces concentration. The standard 'eight glasses a day' of water, which equates to two litres, has been widely reported as the recommended daily intake for water. The reason for the figure eight is this: Our bodies loss on average 2.5 litres of water a day. In order to maintain a healthy body that 2.5 litres needs to be replaced. Our bodies take in about 20% (or 500mls) of the liquid required through foods, leaving two litres, or eight glasses, needing to be drunk as water. Generally consuming an amount of water which means that you are not ever thirsty will mean you are getting around the required eight glasses. There are factors which will alter the amount of daily water intake required. Exercising causes increased fluid loss. For prolonged exercise, a sports drink may be appropriate, as they help combat sodium fluid loss from sweating. In warmer temperatures it is als

Yay! Finally after slaving for almost a good 4 weeks, our new site is finally up and running. What more can I say? Working through weekends was a murder cum suicide, especially when the Mrs is grumbling and looking for attention. Gotta work up this weekend again cause am flying of next Wednesday. Yay again! ^_^ Grandma's birthday is on the 9th of December, what should I get her? We're celebrating her birthday on the weekend I fly off which is the 7th December and guess what my morning flight is at 9am so that I'll be back in Sydney at 9pm in time for work the next day. What a hectic holiday. Am hoping for the economy to start improving in the next few years coming up cause we haven't gone for our honeymoon yet. Still thinking where to go... ANy idea's? We're probably looking to go either Europe, America or just around Australia. :P hehe

Only You

I heard this song at the wedding and I just wanted to post it up here to remind me of the song and how beautiful it sounds like.

Outro Lugar - Tony Moran

This is another one of my favourites. Would play almost the entire journey from Singapore to KL cause it was just so catchy in my opinion! Aaaaaah I could just scream!

Back To Basics - Shape shifters

Ahhs.. the memories are jsut flooding back. If only it was prolonged. :) I remember working at weird hours because parties are meant to run from 8pm right up to 4am the next morning. Runnign in and out of the party rooms to make sure all cash flows are in check and making sure Cat didn't go mad counting the bahts in front of her eyes. We were selling coupons for drinks and bla bla and it was madness to making sure all 4 ticket booths were in sync and all the money was accounted for. Loved it and will always wanna do it again!

Palin goes maverick on McCain

Image
Those close to Senator McCain accused Mrs Palin of deliberately straying off script, criticising recorded campaign phone messages when the campaign supported their use, and saying she disagreed with the decision to pull out of Michigan. "She is a diva. She takes no advice from anyone," said one McCain adviser. Ahh Mccain you've done it again! LOL

Free Falling

You Tube Link - Free Falling And Im free, free fallin Yeah Im free, free fallin Free fallin, now Im free fallin, now im Free fallin, now Im free fallin, now im I wanna glide down over mulholland I wanna write her name in the sky Gonna free fall out into nothin Gonna leave this world for a while Love this song. I heard this song the first time in Tom Cruise's epic movie Jerry Maguire which also stars Renee Zellweger and Cuba Gooding Jr. Use to not like John Mayer becuase his song "wonderland" was a little to much for me, but I guess times a changing and his voice is pretty soothing especially when I heard him sing this song.

My Wang Said It

Park Benches & Public Transport Standards from Mr Wang Says So He is just so hilarious! The part where he places 1,300,000,000 instead of 1.3 billion just tickled me. With most reports/blogs giving the calculation is a more wordier method, I think the zero’s makes me look twice at the amount and again help remind you how many zero’s does 1.3 billion has. Haha!

Programmers Have Bad Handwriting

Is that true? What say you? I’ve always had bad handwritings especially when I am so not in the mood to write anything.

Free play for 2 hours!

Image
We finally went for the Intencity arcade gaming center in Broadway for their 2 hour free play for AUD$15.00 dollars. We ended up playing for a good 4 hours coz some of the machinese weren't rebooted properly. Hehe. Shhh. We spent most of our 3rd and 4th hour playing the Fast & the Furious car racing, we only stumbled upon it when I noticed the "free play" word flashing. We came home to aching arms and aching legs due 2 too much standing. Ouuuwwww!

What is a republican?

I thought I'd google this up for the sake of it. After reading about Sarah Palin on wiki I just thought bout how McCain could vote in someone who's a pro-christian into the senate and her the vice president to run along with him. Seriously, who is she? what has she done for the country that gives her a chance to rule USA should mccain just looses the battle with the death spirit? OH wells, I don't live in the USA so perhaps I'd just sit back and shut my big mouth, but who does that nowadays? So waht are republicans? (Noun) Member of the United States' Republican Party, first emerging in the mid 1800s as an anti-slavery movement. Success of candidate Abraham Lincoln in the Presidential election of 1860 sparked the American Civil War. The party has since moved on to other issues. Republicans today are characterized by typically right-wing, conservative beliefs including but by no means limited to pro-business policies, lack of dependence on the government in daily lif

Working for Microsoft!

Here are list of questions that was in the microsoft questions-to-ask list.   Be prepared!   Imagine a disk spinning like a record player turn table. Half of the disk is black and the other is white. Assume you have an unlimited number of color sensors. How many sensors would you have to place around the disk to determine the direction the disk is spinning? Where would they be placed?   Suppose you have an array of 1001 integers. The integers are in random order, but you know each of the integers is between 1 and 1000 (inclusive). In addition, each number appears only once in the array, except for one number, which occurs twice. Assume that you can access each element of the array only once. Describe an algorithm to find the repeated number. If you used auxiliary storage in your algorithm, can you find an algorithm that does not require it?   Suppose you have an array of 1001 integers. The integers are in random order, but you know each of the integers is between 1 an

Paypal Money Received Scam

To receive SGD$500.00 from Paypal I will need to pay SGD$30.00 because Paypal fee’s are 5.9% of original sum + SGD$0.50 transaction fee. My goodness, the more I don’t wanna receive money via Paypal, this is called Daylight Robbery!!! Don’t ever every try doing it on Paypal, it’s a warning from me. Robbery I tell you! Break down of the fee’s. 500.00 SGD 500.00 SGD = 500.00 SGD (1 SGD = 1.00000 SGD)  - 0.00 SGD (2.5% Currency Conversion Fee)  - 29.50 SGD (5.9% PayPal transaction fee)  - 0.50 SGD (PayPal fixed fee) = 30.00 SGD (PayPal Fees) = 470.00 SGD (Amount Received) Craps!

Bondi Beach

Image
Nothing more beautiful then sandy beaches and "not so many" people. I remember I snapped a picture a while back and the beach looked like it was swarmed with ants. Hehe. :) We had hurricanes roasted lamb rack that evening and we waited almost an hour to get a table cause the wind was blowing and it was just so strong it toppled a chair outside. Woosh! Mother nature we are at your mercy.

Buddist Theatre

Image
Heart Ache City! Ooppps.. it was suppose to be heart lake city. :P but seriously we thought it was heart ache city. Hehe. We went to watch at Zenith Theatre a musiccal called Heart Lake City which sounds similar to Salt Lake City. Written, composed and directed by students of the Sydney University Buddhist Society, this production combines an inspirational spiritual message with theatre styles of Grease and West Side Story! Loved the singing, just that the dancing was a little too much, but oh wells, bravo to all who participated in it. Only have movie of the production so no pictures coz it was too dark sorry.

Sydney Aquarium Experience

Image
Aren't those sharks just so lovely? I went with Joey's friend Ming since I wasn't working and I had time to spare. It cost AUD 25.00 approximately to take a days tour of the available underwater mammals and fishes, predators, turtles and weird underwater breeders. Hehe. We spent almost 1/2 hour to 45 minutes in the shark tanks. It was just memorable and exhilarating, the music was just perfect, think it was those underground orchestra music. :P A definitely must visit, its much better than the one in singapore to be honest.
