Batman - The Dark Knight

I thought the film was over-rated. I didn't like Heath Ledgers performance, he wasn't being himself, he was sort of mimicking Jack Nicholson's Joker. If 2-face could have a new costume why can't he have a better look/make up. Isn't Batman suppose to be a very quiet but intelligent kind of super hero not some rash and figure who beats up the Joker in the interrogation room and to finally leave the Joker to be cared for by some local officer who gets easily annoyed becuase he lost 6 of his best friends to the Joker himself? Its a bit stupid to me. He should have blown up the ships or at least one of ths ships? Arghs I guess over this one and batman begins, I still prefer the Batman Begins. This is my opinion, everyone is entitled to one.

Facebook is worth only 20% of US$15 Billion after 1 year

Last year, when Microsoft invested in Facebook, the social networking phenomenon was proclaimed to be worth USD $15 billion. This week, according to legal papers, it has been revealed that Facebook itself reckons it is only worth a paltry USD $3.75 billion instead. More Here

5000 budget tickets axed as fuel costs soar

FIVE thousand Jetstar passengers are being told their budget-priced holidays to Malaysia are off. The airline blames skyrocketing fuel prices for cancelling the heavily promoted, three-times-a-week Sydney to Kuala Lumpur service. Staff are telephoning 5000 passengers who have booked for travel after the September cut-off date. Many had taken up the $50 fare offer, which, with taxes, amounted to about $500 - about half the usual fare. More Here

Delicious Laksa & Fried Kuay Teow @ Salak South Garden

“The char koay teow was tasty and rich in flavour. There was a generous serving of cockles to go with it and to nail it in the head - plenty of chee yau char (pork rind) was added. Something about the iphone

Was reading a review on the Sydney morning herald about the latest 3G iphone and when I came across this particular paragraph stating the con’s of the iphone camera I just couldn’t help but chuckle to myself.   ---- Start ----- Two megapixels is pretty measly these days - even by phone standards where five is becoming the norm.   In addition, there's no flash, no optical zoom and no video - all of these are standard features on most other phones such as my four-year-old Nokia.   It's a bit like putting manual winding windows on a high performance sports car. --- end ----   More Details Here

Aimless Directions

Am bored out of my mind actually? I don’t really wanna do work cause its just so repetitive. I wonder how can I do this for the next 10 years of my life? Where am I heading too actually? What do I wanna do in the next 5 years? Programming? I would really like to be good at what I do and be a guru in development. Experience is something I have plenty but where do I want to make use of my skills at? PHP Programmer for hire. Drop me a line. :P

Early Morning

Good morning people! Nothing much happened today just that we had roast chicken again last night with heaps of vege and 1/2 cooked potatotes. Tried to bake them for 20 minutes but I guess the trick is still to boil them before putting them into the oven. A reminder that you should always have your chicken half cooked as well before baking them. :P We're gonna have sausages and meat pies again for dinner tonight before we fly off to Melbourne next week. Planning to watch Batman in Melbourne on Imax perhaps? Wonder how much will that cost now. Settling down quite well here in Sydney. Making the house cosy each and every time and just moving things around to make life a little less colder. Temperature hitting a low of 7 deg c now in Sydney and Melbourne is snowing I think. Hopefully my cutie can take the cold in Melbourne. Attending a graduation is just so much fun but whats even more exciting is just to visit the Dandenongs where Kenny lives. No not Kenny from South Park! :P

Drinkers face loss of boss tossing

POPULAR alcohol promotions such as "toss the boss" and "free drinks for women" and even serving spirits in shot glasses could be banned at individual pubs and clubs under new powers designed to crack down on excessive drinking. Draft guidelines from the Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing grant the director of liquor and gaming, Albert Gardner, the right to order venues to stop promotions and activities seen as likely to encourage bingeing. Licensees who failed to do so would be prosecuted and fined up to $5500. http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/drinkers-face-loss-of-boss-tossing/2008/07/08/1215282835393.html

First Love

Do you believe in first love or love at first sight? Would you believe that its possible? Would you realise that it actually happens through out the world? There are so many questions but not very many answers. What influenced my question was when I watched Wall-E (Waste Allocation Load Lifter - Earth Class) last night. It was absolutely adorable and once again Pixar has blown me away. It was a story of a suppose to be rubbish cruncher and compressor in the land which was once called earth who fell in love wih a Eve ( Extra terrestrial Vegetation Evaluator) and Pixar portrayed the simple things in life to be one of the most memorable moments being hand in hand with the one you fell in love with at first sight. Over the move timeline we can see the things that little Wall-E does for Eva during her wait for her pick up upon discovering a plant in which Wall-E gave to her as a present. Touching moments and wonderful cartoon animations that walk hand in hand just brings contentment into m

1 month

Migrating isn't as bad as I thought it was and certainly my overdue payment with Telstra didn't make a difference for it. Thought I heard they were filling up quota's but still unsure as mine took an average of 8 months to complete and I have heard of other which got approval in a lesser amount of time. Oh wells nothing much to grumble about I guess coz everything is stablized in some sorta way. Almost a month back today was the day that I landed here in the Sydney International Airport waiting patiently as I get cleared as customs. My baby waits for me patiently outside at the arrival lounge. What a long journey I have taken. I never expected myself to return back to australia so soon actually. So much has changed, oh wait the whole city has changed, yeahs its not melbourne (dohs). Following weeks were spent going for interviews and meeting up head hunters around the city. Have only met 2 actually, one in the city and another in woolloomooloo which is a little out of town

Stumbled upon this picture 10 seconds ago. What is this? Could this be the "day After tomorrow"? While I stumbled on it was listening to World Hold On by Bob Sinclair. I haven't heard him for a while now and it reminds me of Fridae. So much has passed in the last few years. I miss it. It was during the Songkran festival for the parties. I remember I was always reminded that it is always "our" party and not "your" party. :-) Haha I wonder where have all our pictures gone too. :P

Numerology

Image
Do you believe in Numerology or do you think it's just someone trying to rip some money off you. 'Numerology is any of many systems, traditions or beliefs in a mystical or esoteric relationship between numbers and physical objects or living things.' Much to what the sayings and tarot readings have predicted I just think life is too short to have everything predicted for you. Surprises should be the way to take on the early mornings when you open your eyes. To wake up to a hug or a kiss has been my way of living the past 4 weeks or so here in Sydney Australia. Hehe.

Sydney Mac Opening

Image
The very first Apple store opening day in Sydney Australia. It was located on George St and there was an expected 1500 people who lined up outside the store to be the first to get a glimpse of the 3 storey huge Apple store built with glass walls, and oh they get a free-tee-shirt too.

1st Anniversary Dinner

This was taken as Westin Hotel in Sydney Australia. This is the Entree Dish. ' duck breast on top of a piece of bread with rocket salad and mandarin dressing' For the main meal I had the 'char grilled beef rib steak with hand cut pont neuf potatoes and sauce béarnaise' In which I forgot to take a picture of, I thought I did, clearly I was wrong. :P

Surviving in Malaysi

Can a family man with Salary RM3,000 survive in Malaysia Let's do some simple calculations here. In Malaysia, the average family income is RM3,000 /month (where father works, mother doesn't). I understand there are many families whose monthly income does not reach RM3,000, but, to make things simple, let's take RM3,000 as the figure. Ok lah, right? Okay, let's start rolling with a family which has Papa, Mama, 1 daughter and 1 son. Ngam-ngam .... Calculation starts... Electricity and water bill: RM100 (No air-con, No home theatre, No water heater ... ok?) Phone bill ( Telekom): RM100 Meals for a happy family: RM775 (3 meals on RM25/day, RM25 for 4 persons...?) Papa makan / teh-tarik during working hrs: RM155 (RM5/day, RM5 ... can eat what?) Car repayment: RM400 (A proton saga aeroback, 7 yrs repayment) Petrol (living in city, traffic-jam): RM300 (go to work, bring son to school, only can afford one car running) Insurance: RM650 (kids, wife and myself) House repayment: RM

Corona

A corona is a type of plasma "atmosphere" of the Sun or other celestial body, extending millions of kilometres into space, most easily seen during a total solar eclipse, but also observable in a coronagraph. The Latin root of the word corona means crown.   Vs   Corona (labeled Corona Extra, but seldom referred to as such) is a lager brewed in Mexico by Grupo Modelo. It is the top-selling beer in Mexico and is one of the top selling beers worldwide.[1] Corona beer is available in over 150 countries.[2]   My Corona! Love it with a little bit of lemon wedgie on top.
